Cruciform in Orange and Blue - oil on linen canvas - 20"x20"
An image and details from 'Cruciform in Orange and Blue', a recently completed painting which will feature in my coming New York City solo show on April 17th.
With this piece I worked on heightening the play between the warm light and cool shadow areas.
This play is most evident on the 'mixing stick' which reflects the warm coloured light of the halved orange below and turns to a cool bluish grey/purple passage.
